A Step by Step Guide to The Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet: How to Do It

0

The Master Cleanse is a detox diet, which also aids in losing weight. The diet claims that when followed carefully, individuals can lose up to 20 pounds in 10 days. However, to see the weight loss you want, you’ll need to follow the steps of the diet exactly – based on work by Stanley Burroughs. To help you reap all the benefits of this cleanse. We’ve also created a separate article with reviews and results from the diet. Here’s your step-by-step guide…

Step 1 – The Ease-In Phase

While some people choose to jump right into the Master Cleanse diet, the diet recommends beginning with the Ease-In Phase. This phase helps to prepare your mind and your body for consuming less food. The Ease-In Phase usually lasts for three days and helps you to wean yourself off solid foods (similar to fasting) so you are better prepared for the cleanse.

– Day 1 – The Living Food Diet – On the first day of the Ease-In Phase, you’ll only be eating living foods. This means you’ll be eliminating dairy, meat, and processed foods from your diet. You should only eat veggies and fruits on this day. However, avoid eating too much fruit, since fruits can be high in sugar.

– Day 2 – Soups, Broths, and Juicing – You’ll begin to prepare your body to be on a liquid diet. Breaking foods into liquids also makes it easier for the body to get the nutrients it needs from your food. Try smoothies, soups, broths, and juicing fruits and veggies.

– Day 3 – Drink Orange Juice – Make your orange juice and drink only orange juice on day three.

Step 2 – The Lemonade Diet

After the Ease-In Phase, you’re ready to begin starting the Lemonade Diet. You can follow the Lemonade Diet for 3-10 days. On day one, you’ll need to wake up and make your first lemonade. To make the lemonade, you’ll need:

– 2 tablespoons of Grade B organic maple syrup

– 8 ounces of purified water

– 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice (preferably organic lemons)

– 1/10 teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper powder, or add to taste

See more info on the actual Lemonade Diet recipe here.

You’ll want to drink a glass of the lemonade first thing in the morning and you’ll drink 6-12 glasses of the lemonade throughout the day as well. It’s important to drink the lemonade quickly after you make it, since the cayenne pepper will continue to make the lemonade spicier if you let it sit too long. The more lemonade you drink, the better, since it helps to flush out your body and it helps keep your stomach feeling full as well. You should avoid drinking less than 6 glasses per day. When you feel hungry or you don’t feel like you have enough energy, drink a glass of the lemon drink.

You can also drink purified water while you’re on the lemonade diet. Many people are chronically dehydrated, and it’s often tough to tell the difference between cravings for food and water. During the cleanse you may learn to tell when your body really wants water.

Step 3 – The Salt Water Flush

You’ll also want to make sure that you’re having daily bowel movements to cleanse your body of toxins and excess waste. The Salt Water Flush can be done in the evenings while you’re on the lemonade diet. To make the salt water flush, combine one quart of warm, purified water with two teaspoons of sea salt. You can adjust the amount of sea salt to make this part of the cleanse work for you. Just make sure you’re not using iodized sea salt. Drink the salt water flush at night on an empty stomach. Once you drink the salt water flush, expect to have bowel movements in the near future, so be near a restroom when you use it. Since you may have multiple bowel movements within a short period of time, it’s best to do this flush in the evening when you’re at home.

Step 4 – The Ease-Out Phase

When you’re done with the Lemonade Diet, you’re ready to go through the Ease-Out Phase, which is very important. If you begin eating solid food right away, it may be difficult on your body. The Ease-Out Phase is the same as the Ease-In Phase, it’s just done in reverse. You’ll start by drinking just orange juice on Day 1, then you can have juices, soups, smoothies, etc. on Day 2, and you can following The Living Diet on Day 3. Then you’ll be ready to go back to eating solid foods once again.

Once you complete all the steps of the Master Cleanse, make sure that you follow a healthy whole food diet. Don’t go back to bad eating habits or you’ll quickly gain back the weight that you lost during the program.
