**Update for 2018** While I did finish Cruise Control and had previously recommended it, I no longer advocate this program.
After testing a variety of additional diet and workout plans, I found more affordable (and effective) options through my research and testing.
There have been some scammy issues with this program when ordering from their site, which is why many people have chosen to buy this product through Amazon to avoid any additional (hidden) fees.
As I’ve stated before, I personally use Old School New Body as my go-to workout regimen. When it comes to diet, I use the Fat Diminisher program. I would also recommend Fat Diminisher Diet to anyone considering Cruise Control –you can read the review of the program here.
If you still are interested in checking out Cruise Control, you can check out my previous review below.
A couple of years ago, James Ward took a look at all of the different weight loss solutions (and we use the term “solutions” very, very loosely) and realized that most of what was being sold in the marketplace just wasn’t that effective. Other than a couple of stand-out programs everyone has heard of such as Dr. Charles’ Fat Loss Factor or Shin Ohtake’s Max Workouts, most of the available options are mediocre at best.
It’s easy to understand why so many ineffective solutions “fall through the cracks”. After all, the weight loss world is a multibillion-dollar industry, and whenever there is that much money flowing around on a day to day basis you’re bound to see this.Sick, tired, and unhappy with being overweight – and recognizing that so many others out were dealing with the same kind of problem – James Ward dove headfirst into the world of weight loss in search of real solutions that will actually work, solutions that will provide people with the weight loss answers many people had been looking for.
The Making of The Cruise Control Diet
No products found.
Combining all of his new discoveries (and the secrets that he uncovered along the way, a lot of them with the help of leading nutritionists, weight loss experts, and fitness gurus) into a top to bottom brand-new program called the “Cruise Control Diet”, James has been able to help hundreds of thousands of people all over the world get into the best shape of their lives and create their ideal body.
Here’s our Cruise Control Diet review – give it a read and come to your own conclusions 🙂
General Idea Behind the Diet
The idea behind the program is the understanding that almost 80% of your weight loss journey is going to be a direct result of the food and fuel you put into your body – but with a twist.
You see, for years now, researchers, fitness and weight loss professionals, and even everyday people like you and I have understood the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
We understand that the “Standard American Diet” (SAD) just isn’t cutting it anymore, and that it’s making us heavier than at any point in human history. According to research published by the American Journal of Health, nearly 70% of all adults over the age of 18 could be considered clinically obese – and that number is only climbing higher and higher every year.
We are looking at a serious problem here, and epidemic, and one that needs to be treated immediately.
The Diet is going to help us do exactly that, just by changing up some of the foods that we eat on a regular basis and how we think about our diet.
Backbone of the CC Program
Every single weight loss program out there has one “backbone” running through it, the central idea that all of the pieces linked to and the main thrust of that particular idea
For Cruise Control, that backbone is comprised of four fairly simple rules:
- Eat natural foods (as close to their natural form as possible) to fuel your body
- Get rid of foods that trigger inflammation – processed and packed foods are public enemy number one
- Keep “cheat meals” as a major part of your weight loss journey to secure your sanity
- To think about your weight loss journey not as a diet or exercise program, but instead a lifestyle shift and a lifelong pursuit
We know that seems really simplistic on the surface, but often times – as we usually discover – it’s the simplest ideas that are the most profound and the most powerful.
Well, this Diet is further evidence that you don’t have to come up with some groundbreaking approach to creating your ideal body when you rely on the fundamentals.

How the Cruise Control Diet Actually Works
The idea behind the Diet is simple and straightforward – eat healthy and smart meals out of foods that are as close to their natural form as possible (abandoning all of that processed junk and nonsense, at least as much as possible), moving your body on a regular basis, and being smart with your meal timings so that you can shoot your metabolic rate through the roof – safely – to melt fat wherever it is discovered in your body.
All of this is possible when you decide to sign up for this program and really take advantage of the resources contained within.
You may well be surprised at just how speedy the results can be.
Many customers are seeing noticeable results inside of seven days, and on their way to impressive body transformation inside of 21 days.
What the Cruise Control Program Promises to Deliver
At the end of the day, this program is promising to:
- Overhaul the way you look at nutrition – as most information put out publicly isn’t very effective
- Outline a number of easy steps to follow to create your ideal body and melt fat
- Help you make a healthy lifestyle that will help you to lose weight and keep it off for the rest of your life (the most important part)
In our opinion, the program really does deliver on those three promises, and there are hundreds of verified previous customers to prove it.
Pros of Cruise Control
The big benefits of following this program would have to include:
- The simple and straightforward way that the entire program is outlined
- The inclusion of “cheat sheet” resources to help you get a jump start right out of the gate
- The fact that it is 100% digitally downloadable so that you can access it immediately and begin losing weight without any delay whatsoever
Cons of Cruise Control
The Cruise Control program isn’t picture-perfect by any stretch of the imagination. It would have been nice to find more information about exercise, more information about the value of sleep and recovery when looking to lose weight, and some mental or psychological tips and tricks to help streamline the journey. Having said that, everything you need to get some serious results with this program is included.
Final Verdict: Does James Ward’s Program Really Work?
There are a lot of different programs out there promising the moon and the stars when it comes to helping you get the body that you’ve always wanted, burn fat around the clock without any real extra effort, and transform yourself and your confidence in record time – we’re sure you’ve heard all of those claims many times.
Unfortunately, most diet and weight loss programs miss the boat – Cruise Control isn’t one of them though. You can use it with confidence to melt fat, build muscle, and reliably change the way you look and feel.
If you follow the step-by-step instructions you’re really going to struggle to not get results.

Cruise control diet plan is definitely a program that reduces your weight that makes you slim, firm and strong and also improves your health to live a healthy lifestyle.
I’m curious what Tim Ferriss would have to say about your miracle diet, considering it sounds almost exactly like his “Slow-carb diet” from “4-Hour Body”. When did you come up with it again?
I ordered the Cruise Control Diet on 12/2/16 for $49.98, and I haven’t received anything yet. 0141 is the ref #.
I started this diet 5 weeks ago I,m down over 30 lbs every thing that is written in the core program booklet has come true everything. Hats off to Mr James Ward I was looking for a program that instructed me in shopping RIGHT, when and how to prepare meals and the reasoning of the program. I believe I hit a home run with this program I,m 66 years old eating better than I ever have [THE MEALS ARE ABSOLUTELY EMMM] losing weight and creating a body back to when I was 40 years old. 258 lbs to goal of 190 lbs, i weigh in on Monday the 13th and looking forward to a weight of 2 hundred and teens. Thank you Mr. Ward for doing all of my homework looking forward for the emails of new meals and menu.
There is a diet or way of life for each person out there that can help them change their current unhappy weight status. Most of the people I know are constantly checking their phones to see how many points something is before they decide to consume it now or wait for another day where they have not maxed the point limit. Point counting or calorie counting just seemed to much work for me.
So I took the plunge and ordered the Cruise Control Diet book. No points and it did not restrict favorites like pizza or ice cream all the time. I did not order the extras , not even the SlimBiotene that they are constantly suggesting will help you even more in your journey of weight loss.
Read the book twice (it is an easy read) and liked how it simply explains how sugar and starch become stored fat in your body. So March 5, 2017 I started the two week no sugar, no carb days. It was not bad but definitely not easy. Habits are hard. Eating whole foods requires forethought. You just can’t open a bag of something to munch on when hungry or when you just want to munch! But by the time I reached day 12 I really didn’t crave so much of these items and saw the scale go down. Figured it was just water weight. I was still skeptical.
My fridge is full of leafy greens, veggies of all sorts. I really embraced the plant based idea. (Yes, it was hard to not have pasta or rice as side dishes and I had to decide what I was going to make that would be in place of these carbs.) Best $9.99 I spent was on the little device that makes zoodles (linguini out of zucchini). Zoodles take about the same amount of effort and time as cooking pasta.
Since my weight didn’t all come on in one month (more like it crept up year after year) I don’t expect to lose it all in one month. My progress has been a slow steady weight loss that I have achieved with not a whole lot of effort. I weighed in at 217lbs and am now down over 12lbs. So I no longer think it is just water weight loss.
Cheat days are golden, it lets me know that my favorites are not forbidden! And keeps me focused to continue. (I’m hoping to reach 160 or less.) Many of us that are so overweight need to start slow and I feel The Cruise Control Diet is perfect for many who just feel they can’t start or don’t like dieting. That it is just too daunting or that they are too far gone. This is not true! Don’t make the start stop you. This is also what I like about this program: Life happens, we fall, we fail, we continue on the right path and we succeed too!
So does The Cruise Control Diet work? I say yes because it has put my mind to being a healthier me (and my clothes are starting to fit better). I still have a long way to go but every week the scale goes down. So yes it works —for me! And perhaps this Sunday is your day to start!
PS Lots of great recipes are online that are simply made with out flour and with out sugars!
Hi Lori. I enjoyed your post. So many of us think we need a panacea of results without putting in the effort. 4 years ago I tried a similar weight loss program…real food, low carb. Lost 65 pounds that year b efore I got distracted by life. Regained 20 pounds over the following 3 years. I’m 70, 228 pounds. Or was. Now I am on cruise diet and good results so far. Both diets required a 2 week cleanse. I use this time to research easy, interesting receipes that fit my life style. After I get below 200, will add a few more high fiber carbs that I love and try to maintain. Good luck. Dale
Though he tries to make it sound much easier than it is, it does work. I have not been following it to a T, I’m too weak, but I am losing weight very slowly. However, this may sound discouraging but when you consider I haven’t been able to lose weight the last 10 years no matter what I did losing slowly is fantastic to me. I am sort of following the plan (I stay away from sweets and carbs most of the time but I do eat lots of cheese and all the fruit I can). It’s working but it’s not easy. However, it worth it. I would recommend it because if it can start my body to lose weight, it probably will work extremely well for others especially if they follow the plan. So I give this thumbs up because even if you don’t follow it exactly you still lose weight. Thanks
PS been to other unbiased blogs and they think all those who approve this diet are paid. Let me assure you I am just a regular person who brought the book in hopes that his plan would help me.
I ordered the cruise control diet, and I want to return it for a refund. Could you please e mail me the info needed to be able to do that please. Thank you!!
